JNelson113,

If you are a OnePass elite flying on a CO operated flight with a NW ticket, CO will handle the EUA and you should receive an email when upgraded.

This is all assuming that NW posts your OnePass number correctly to CO.

So I'm thoroughly confused here. I've taken plenty of fligts on NW ticktes/NW metal and never had much of a problem with EAU. Next week, I've got a five segment trip on a co ticket where two of the segments are operated by NW. It sounds like there isn't much of a chance of the NW segments upgrading. Is this correct. Who do I call, NW or CO?

Just a postscript to my original post. I was not EUAed on any of my NW segments. I called CO the morning of my outbound flights and was told that NW codeshare upgrades could not be done manually and if the computer didn't catch me I could go on the waitlist at check-in. Managed to secure F seating on both segments although I got the last remaining seat on my RDU-DTW segment.

On the return, I called again and talked to a more sympathetic agent who admitted that there was a computer "problem" with EUAs on NW flights. After putting me on hold for ~10 mins. she returned to tell me she'd had a supervisor manually upgrade me and advised that it was wise to call for upgrades whenever travelling NW. Thanks again to all those that advised me to call...I wish that they'd get it straight with the reciprocal privileges on NW.

One other brief note. F on NW's DC-9's seemed like glorified coach! Marginally more seat width and pitch, no seat padding or lumbar support, and the same ratty cloth seat covers as in Y. I'll be steering exclusively towards the relative luxury of CO planes from now on.

Reflecting on this post I should add that I am certainly grateful for all upgrades received and NW does have 16 F seats on 100 seat DC 9's...a great F/Y seat ratio.
