Manual Postings

Sometimes when I do not get credit for segments flown i obviously call onepass to get credit which they always do without asking for the boarding pass. The best part is, is that they always list it as a Y fare which is valid for many promotions when i actually flew a lower fare class. This past flight i called to get credited, which they posted one segmen the usual "Y" class but the other 2 were posted as "XY" class, does anyone know what this means?

dominick,

The "X" notation before the letter means that any special bonuses for that fare class will not be applied.

For example, I get upgraded via automatic elite upgrade to F, so my class will be noted as "XF". I will not receive the 50% (I think it's 50) fare bonus that applies to people who outright BUY an F ticket.

The "XY" means that the agent didn't know your real "cheapo" fare class so she/he put you as Y, but the X in front of it nullifies any fare bonus you would have gotten for having a Y ticket.

It sounds like she/he goofed if they put you as "Y" for a segment or two, chalk it up to good luck and enjoy your extra miles
