Comp upgrade to silver

Comp upgrade to silver
I somehow remember hearing of a couple of FTers who mentioned they got the next status level comped to them based on existing reservations. I have 24 segs, and 6 on reservation.. does anyone have any advice to how i might go about asking to be silver before i actually reach 30 segs?

I have the same sitution i called them up and they refused to do it even though i have a big trip to anc and a trip to phx which will push me over the top.Oh cant say I dont blame them for not comping me.

I have tried to get comped too but failed to get the status. I had flights booked at 3 over silver and no deal. I tried to do the samething with regards to membership in the President's Club and also...no deal. I had to waite untill flights posted before geting Silver status.
