Bulkhead Seats on 738 - difference between 2 sides?
Does anyone know why row 5 DEF are reserved as "premium" seats yet 5 ABC are available to anyone? Is there a solid wall on the port side of the plane but not on the starboard side? Or is the legroom the same but they keep ABC open in case someone has a baby to hang on the bulkhead?
I have two upcoming transcons on 738s and would like to reserve a bulkhead in case my upgrades don't clear. From what I've read I certainly don't want to be stuck in the back of one of these cattle cars!

ahhh. the beloved transco's in 73Xs.
Ugh, Ugh, and double-triple UGH.
I am surprised that they are only blocking one side. The two sides are identical, with a wall in front of each.

Thanks jetsetter! Changed to 5A on my 738 flights since a vertical wall can't recline into my lap.
Hopefully I'll be up front, but I'm not holding my breath since I have no status and am relying on Executive Pack Upgrade Certificates.
Have upgrades gotten any easier with the slowing economy, or are there so many elites now with the generous bonus offers that they're still hard to come by?
