Combining Two Reservations After Purchase

Ok, maybe what I did was not the best idea, but....
I purchased a roundtrip ticket LAX-AMS on Continental while the fare was extremely low because I was unsure if my final destination would be PRG or ZRH. After it became clear that my final destination would be ZRH, I purchased a roundtrip ticket on Swiss Air with a departure from AMS 3 hours after my scheduled arrival on Continental. Now I am starting to worry what will happen if my Continental flight is delayed causing me to miss my Swiss Air flight. Is there anything I can do now to protect myself in case such a delay were to happen?

interesting question. not sure if this is possible.

my separate question is this: i wanted to use two CO gift certificates for two tickets. my bro. and i are going to san fran. but, with CO.O.L you cant use two certificates for one purchase. so, they are in separate records.

but, i don't want to be upgraded if he isn't so i want to combine the records. i assume this can be done. should i call tech support?

You can call and have them reference the flights in each record, but you can't combine two tickets into one, even if it was both the same airline. You are still not "protected" because it's two different tickets, but sometimes they will help you out if it's been referenced, just don't expect anything.

Just call onepass and ask them to make your record not upgrade. It can be done. I would let it upgrade though and then see if your brother can get the upgrade, fighting for one upgrade is easier then two. If he doesn't make it change with the person next to him in coach.

If this is EWR-SFO, I wouldn't be too concerned about it...
