Skipping a Segment
This issue had came up when I was booking my last flight, and I was told you were not allowed to do this:
First Flight went from FLL to DCA with a stopever in EWR. Second flight was from DCA to EWR. Third flight was from EWR to Europe. For some unknown reason it was cheaper this way.
Now my question is, am I allowed to get off the plane in EWR and skip the other parts of the segments. Keep in mind this is only one half of a round trip ticket. The Eservice online person (very nasty BTW), said no. I never asked anyone at the normal Continental reservations line.

The answer is NO
That nasty e-Service agent is probably about as tired as we are of hearing the same question over and over. It's against the rules. Why? Because the airlines write the rules to protect their revenue.

Snake,
I asked a few questions this being one of them to the agent. The other was about usiing my Presitge Pack discount coupon. She was just plain nasty AND didn't know anything anyways (found out Eservice isnt CO). I ended up calling CO Intl reservations and they let me use the coupon.

The nastiness aside, you are going to get this response from *any* airline, including Southwest, so keep in mind that it's not just Continental.

Of course you can, when you exit the plane at EWR, you leave the airport. I think Olympia trails or a taxi or a rental car would do the trick. I wouldn't recommend walking across Routes 1 and 9, you know what they say about Jersey Drivers

Is continental going to call the PA police to arrest you and bring you to the gate for your Europe flight? Maybe if they offered the PA some free donuts they could.
So the real question, is not can you do it, but what if anything can continental do to you after you do it. Now the interesting things come into play.
Of course the first thing they'd do is cancel the remainder of your initerary, but it sounds like you beat them to that, didn't you.
They could cancel your Onepass account, well they say they could at least. They could try and bill you for the FLL-EWR oneway fare, or at least the difference. Do you think that they could get a jury would side with continental? If you used a travel agent, I think I remember seeing something about the airline billing the travel agent for the difference. What if you paid for the ticket with cash at a Continental ticket office. What if got sick after you arrived at newark? nix that last one, no jury of 12 intelligent people would buy someone getting sick upon arrival in Newark NJ

All that speculation asside. I'm not a lawyer, I don't play one on either TV or the Internet. I'd would suggest one thing, don't use you're onepass number when booking this flight

Now I'll let the rest of the Bellevue out-patient crowd chime in on this
