Bonus Machine Mistakes?

Can CO take away miles from your account for bonuses you really didn't qualify for. If so what catches their attention? Calling OP or a computer? I have some questions for them but don't want to mess up what I have posted already. Any suggestions how to protect the miles I have? Thanks

If they posted more than you thought....keep your mouth shut. Don't ask any questions.

I was finally able to see my Activity since your last statement--I noticed I had two 1000 mile deductions along with over 10,000 bonus miles deducted. I called up OP and they tell me that the wrong amount of miles got added and these are corrections--however, I can't reconcile the miles--OP said it was confusing but certainly didn't explain to my satisfaction. Whenever I get my printed statement, if I can't reconcile it, I'm going to call back and complain LOUDLY. :-)

Do these mistakes happen often or is it just a fluke that it happened to me? I figure the double posting of 2000 miles doesn't come close to making up for the missing double miles on a transatlantic flight so I plan to call OP

So you call and then they take away the 2000 miles too...that doesn't sound too smart.

Ski AG 82- You have a lot to learn about CO...complaining LOUDLY gets you nowhere with them...it gets added into your profile...be nice and you MAY get results...be LOUD and you're screwed!

If they catch the mistake. That was why I asked if a person watches for mistakes or if a computer program catches.

I have about 30,000 AMEX bonus miles missing which I want to get. I have tried to wait for the bonus machine to catch up but it has been 4 Saturdays and nothing has happened. Should I wait longer.. even if it pushes it past the 4/30 date or do I call them about it?

Your original post on this thread leads us to believe that you got things that you shouldn't have...you asked us if they take away things that you didn't qualify for...now you tell us that you are missing lots of things...which is it?? I know for a fact that OP keeps track of every time you call them to complain...and HOW you complain...you take it from there.

If I were you...I would make sure that I'm registered for all the things that are missing first...have you ever gotten these bonuses yet? If you have ..then there is something wrong...are your flights posting and just not the bonuses?

Same situation here. The online statement is completely unintelligible. I have about 20 or 30 "MILEAGE ADJUSTMENT" entries totaling 80k miles added or deducted or who the hell knows.

The numbers on the top don't add up, either; the last month's statement plus the added miles minus the deducted miles is half as much as the current balance.

It's kind of surprising that Onepass hasn't improved much since I opened my account in 1990.

Both, I think.
I got 2 Hyatt and 2 Hiltons for one roundtrip flight but no AMEX. (Maybe this is my mistake and you do get 2 Hyatt and Hilton, one for each way.) Sorry to confuse you. I was just trying to be brief, maybe I should have laid out more info at the beginning. I figured most people wouldn't care exactly what happened to give great FT advice. The info about the profile was helpful. Thanks

2 Hyatts and 2 Hiltons for 1 R/T is correct. I can't comment on the AMEX promos, but if you feel you deserve them, then contact ONEPASS. BUt I would wait a week to see if they post as well.

Thanks, that ultimately answers the question. Not everyone in our travel party is getting 2 Hyatt and 2 Hilton so that is where I got confused. Thanks for clearing that up. One lsat question, do I need to deal with this before April 30th when the bonuses expire?

Perhaps you should call now. Maybe the agent said you were signed up and you were not. So I guess that time may be of the essence.

Good Luck!
