AutoUpgrades on NW working
as a CO gold, i've been calling 72 hours in advance to get upgraded on NW flights since the auto-upgrade feature wasn't working cross-airline. well, all four segments for this weekend's flights had *already* been upgraded by the time i called (around 8am each day), so it looks like it won't be long before they get it working more often than not (the agent said it *doesn't* work *most* of the time, so she recommended i still call in).
also, i found out from the NW forum this morning from magic111 that i can see my seat selections on nw flights by looking up my itinerary online. and, yes, all flights had been upgraded. so in the future, i can save time by looking at my itinerary first, and only if it still shows coach do i need to make the call. thanx, magic111.

The CO beta site also lets you see your upgraded seats if you look at your itinerary. I like being able to print out a revised itin. with my F assignments in case my boarding passes for some reason don't reflect the upgrade.

I booked a NW ticket from TUS to EWR for the CMDIII. The flights are all CO operated codeshares. I liked the NW $198 fare a lot better then the lowest available CO fare, $358, for the same flights!
On the 18th I got the Platinum EUA's for my trip on the 23rd, including the often difficult IAH-EWR segment, this morning I got the upgrade for Tuesday's flight from EWR to IAH on the 777

I checked my Thursday flights to AUS on nwa.com. Both outbound segments were upgraded automatically.
