What's E class?

I was trying to redeem a FC ticket EWR-SJC. ITN shows F2. When I called the gold elite line, I was told that E class is not available and that I need 90K for the reward. Anyway, I thought Standard FC comes from F bucket and EasyPass comes from A bucket. Was I wrong? Is it true that there is an E class that's no showing at ITN?

"E" class is not displayed on ITN, but is the bucket that reward F/C tickets are booked in. Availability of "E" is usually less then "F" class.

"D" class is for the domestic continuation of Buisness class tickets.

I recently flew EWR-CUN in F class using upgrade coupons from a prestige pack. The ticket showed "D" class and "business" class. D must also mean upgraded First class on international flights without BusFirst.

Yes - and one can safely assume that for any given CO flight at any given time, it too shows (in CO res. PC's):

E=0 (also known as Bethunes's Mathematical Law of Free Business First to HNL).

Sorry, Gordon, you lost my 50K miles/yr. based on your ridiculous formula above.

So if a flight (CO 300 from EWR -> SJC on 3/20 on a 737-700 with 12 FC seats for instance...) is showing A6 D6 F0 are 12 out of 12 seats still potentially available? Or only 6?

The correct answer in this case is 6.

p.s. E class is for First/Business rewards, coach reward tickets will show M class, however they are drawn from the Q bucket, or V for high level elites.
