My son and I just returned from a trip EWR-CDG-EWR last Sunday. I have signed us up for all of the bonuses. We each got the Hilton -HHMO 12,000 miles AND a DOUBLE BONUS of 3,649 ea way. Note that the tickets were charged to Master Card, before We signed up for the AMEX double miles bonus programs. The -CHAH double miles bonus is for domestic only, I thought. I wonder if there is another double miles bonus out there that is unreported, or did the bonus computer screw up. Note that we did not receive any of the RA***** bonuses I sighed up for.

You could have been selected for the GGOne 123 bonus where you would get double miles on your second int'l trip.

Second, I wanted to advise you that the GG AMEX WK? bonus where one gets 2,000 bonus miles, is posting for each segment, instead of R/T, so you might want to amend your GG Bonus Summary to reflect that.

Third, RA 0104 -- 2,500 bonus miles for a R/T posted, but not RA0105 -- I think they will wait until you get 8,000 miles or until the promo ends to see how much you will get.

Vulcan, I could never make the bonuses match what we are supposed to get... gook luck trying. I wish I still could see my activity since last statement... it went dead two weeks ago.

I did receive the GGONE 123 promotion and already did my 3rd trip (EWR-GUM-HKG) and got the tipple bonus miles, though I had to e-mail OPSC and ask for them.
Could the computer have screwed up and is allowing me to do it twice. That would mean my trip back to HKG next week would be tripple miles, again .

I think you hsould have gotten RA0104 unless it is only for domestic travel. Not having gotten the original notification of the bonus, as I have only this board to thank, I don't know if there were any restrictions.

The word from a OPSC supervisor is that the computer problems should be fixed as soon as the next statement cycle is complete. The start of the next statement mailing cycle is the week of March 13.

I would be willing to bet that your double miles are from GGONE CHAH which also includes EWR. I got these on a direct flight EWR-CUN, and I know it's not due to AMEX or other credit card since I don't have them. GGONE CHAH rules!

I think that someone mentioned that the CHAH bonus posts as "Double Miles." Did the "Stealth Bonus" post this way? If so, then Cozumel Jen is right!

Right, the GG ONE CHAH bonuses say DOUBLE MILES in the Description when you click the button to show Activity Since Most Recent Statement after logging into your OnePass account, and they show up under the category heading "Continental and Airline Partner Activity" when you sort by Activity Type.

By contrast, the the GG ONE 123 bonus miles state "BONUS" in the description, and are listed as "Non-Travel" transaction types under the heading "Non-Travel Partner Activity", as in:

1/29/01 Non-Travel DOUBLE MILE BONUS 3348 3348

Under this category are also the Hyatt rewards, reward redeposits, and Chase/Continental card purchases. Hope that this helps.

For the 123 Bonus, it is 3/31. The exact wording on the flyer is "All round-trip travel must be completed by March 31, 2001." So, based on their wording, I would think that if you return in April, you wouldn't get the miles...for the triple miles trip, anyway. Sorry.

The -CHAH seems sporadic. I received it for EWR-HNL, but not GUM-IAH. I don't remember signing up my son for this bonus either. I guess I'll just have to live with the "Free" miles . If it is-CHAH, I wonder if it will apply to EWR-HKG? That would be nice.

Vulcan, I am COUNTING on this!!!! Since I blew it with the triple miles ... I can't wait to see my account next week! Oh, I haven't gotten CHAH on any IAH legs either unless they were to/from Newark. Strange, why would they pick one hub and not Cleveland or Houston ...

Thanx Semi-Elite! CO has matched BA's low midweek fares to LON from EWR, and I was thinking of going for my 1st mileage run, but I can't take the time off until last weekend in March, and return would be in April.

Even though I could still do it keeping the double Amex bonuses and the Hilton bonus in mind, it still seems a bit extravagant to this student. But I will think about it!
