CO coach.
Well, here is another "useless post" Please don't read if you are Catman.
Anyway, IAH-MCI, no upgrade for this because I made the reservations earlier today, and luickly i got 14A on 733, lots of leg room, and fell asleep throught out the journey. Flight arrived surprisly early, suppose to touch down at 0430pm, reached the gate at 0410PM,
This was a great flight even if I were in a middle seat, I mean come on, if they take you to where you wanna go and 20 mins early, I say it is a great flight!
Sorry if this sounds like a trip report, I am just trying to inform people about the CO Coach service since us lowly Golds and Silvers will probably never get an upgrade...

I disagree, but to each his own. Coach in general is terrible, but Continental coach
is especially wretched.

I will be on coach tomorrow to Europe. Will be interesting to compare it to DL. It could not be worse then then the new DL 757s or 777s. Time will tell, the big test is tomorrow.

Afang, Just to refresh your memory... since I know you get SO EXCITED when you discover things like planes have wings... Catman hasn't called your threads "usless". You are confusing him with me... I know they both start with a "C" and have the word MAN in them. However, BE CAREFUL! This could lead to accidently boarding Alaskan Airlines, instead of American Airlines.
P.S. What did you eat for lunch today? We are dying to know. Oh yeah, and tommorrow when you "discover" luggage... be sure to start a thread. Rumor has it there are different kinds!

I apologize to Catman.
Cigarman, I do not start any threads when I DISCOVER wings on the planes, and nor do I get EXCITED when I discover them neither.
I do know what you have against me, but it seems that every time when I post something you always have something sarcastic to say.

Sorry afang, can't help it.
But I do think that afang is giving out some constructive posts these days.

Actually, Afang I don't have anything against you. Many months ago I politely suggested maybe you could put these type thoughts in one thread. Others also politely tried to give you similar advice. I can drag up 10-20 threads like this one. The point is, take your own advice... if you think it is a trip report... put it in the trip report forum. This post does nothing to help us get more miles or learn anything new, other than you had a happy flight. That is all I've ever been saying. AL, I fly 16 flights in the next 8 days, what if I posted a similar thread as this one for each flight. And what if Camera Guy did the same, And snake, and Jon Toner, and etc, etc,etc... This forumn would be full. That's my point. Nothing personal. But unless it adds CO info or is a legitimate question, it probably belongs in another forum. Maybe trip reports, or OMNI.
And don't take the sarcasim personally... I don't save it just for you...

Hey guys, say what you want about the content, but you got to admit this time afang came up with a really distinctive eye-popping catchy-n-descriptive title for his post.
It really makes it easy to find this post with all its valuable content when using the FT "search" function (as advice often recommended to any newbies).

I didn't get upgraded on a NW codeshare MDW-MSP, so I was in NW coach. But I didn't want to start another thread. I also have a question.
I ran to catch my plane, and discovered NW won't let you carry-on two bags. I hate that! CO let's you carry on two, even on a ERJ. I like that. It was an A320. Very quiet. Almost too quiet. I liked that. The chairs were blue and both narrow AND close together. I hate that. The seats were cloth, but not a nice cloth like silk, but a coarse cloth. I hate that. And there was some sitting in the middle seat. I hate that. He was oozing into my seat too. We had to armrest-wrestle. I hate that. NW serves PEPSI products instead of Coke. I hate that. I had 7-Up. I like that. They just poured me a drink in a cup, but didn't leave the can. I hate that. The cup was cracked and the soda spilled out. I hate that. The FA gave me a napkin, but not another cup. Apprently they have a strict 1-cup-per-passenger policy. I hate that. CO doesn't have that policy. I like that. The FA finally gave me another cup when the napkin wouldn't absorb any more soda. But she DIDN'T GIVE ME MORE 7-UP! I HATE THAT. The flight was smooth. I like that. But I was sitting in Row 22 and it took forever to get off the plane. I hate that. I'd hurt my foot in MDW, so couldn't run well. I hate that. I got FC on my MSP-OMA trip. I like that. FC was almost empty. I love that. I got to watch them de-ice the plane out the window. I like that. They had a really futuristic looking machine, like a telephone repair truck, but the cherry-picker was completely enclosed. It had all kinds of nozzles sticking out the front, so looked like a weapon out of Star Wars. I liked that movie. The special effects at the time were incredible. I remember a lot of people saw that movie dozens of times. Almost like a religous experience. I remember people camping out in front of the box office when The Empire Strikes Back came out. I didn't like that movie as much, but I know other people who did. I guess it depends on your taste in movies. Raiders of the Lost Ark was pretty cool. Harrison Ford was in all 3 movies I just mentioned. He was also in Air Force One, and he's on a plane. I didn't see that movie. I heard it was good. I hope to see it someday. But my question is, does the President get Frequent Flier Miles on Air Force One? Where can he redeem them? And where would he upgrade to with them? Sorry, that's three questions.

Thanks guys, for all your informative posts, snake never goes anywhere without someone chasing him! If I ever do go somewhere on a real airplane you can bet that I'll write a real cool trip report too.
