EUA Bug...Seen this?
So far this year, as a Platinum, I am 2 for 16 on the EUA, 14 full Y fares. I think I have discovered a major bug in their system.
My problem is booking Y fares only a day or two in advance, as typical in my travel. My EUA's have come through only on day of flight, either direction, even if available sooner. For example, flying EWR-ORD full Y tonight, booked yesterday, EUA for outbound was released today, return not released although available in A and F. When I call OP, I am told that "we are not really permitted to upgrade by phone" BUT they will put me in queue for tonight's release of EUA (I wasn't in the queue at all). In the meantime, if someone else books Y (or any if Gold or Plat) by phone today, they will get the seat ahead of me. This just doesn't seem right, and has happened too many times to count at this point. Unfortunately, my travel company is a joke, but I am required to use them by my employer. I don't even get my itineraries e-mailed most of the time, and have to call CO for my flight times; I certainly can't ask them to call for an upgrade after they book me electronically. My only choice is to continue to call CO until they work out this bug, which they admit has been a rather extensive problem.
Just wondering if anyone else out there is experienceing this on a regular basis??

If you buy a full Y ticket within 3 days of departure, as a platinum you are entitled to an upgrade at ticketing. You should hold them to this.
