I guess i am 0/1 for this EUA. Asked the agent if I had called would there been a FC left for me, he said that no because this is a fully booked flight. My question here is, who the heck goes to Boston 8am in the morning?????

Isn't it nice to learn there are NO seats for you to upgrade, and youhave given up all hope, while planning on writing another letter to Co about the EUA and posting more negatives on FT?
Then you get to the airport to checkin, and learn you are Upgraded to FC!

No roadrunner, I hate to be a broken record here, but that is not nice. Actually, it suc*s.

If I have a confirmed upgrade, I can go to the airport at my leisure...check-in at the PC, wander to the gate as the flight begins to board.

If I don't have a confirmed upgrade, I have to get to the airport two hours earlier, fighting to be the first on line for the upgrade list. With EWR's limitless problems (no monorail, no parking, traffic not moving, etc.) That means three hours before my flight. Add in a five hour flight, all of the dealys and everything else, and I have to reiterate, no that is not "nice".

As I posted in another forum, Gold and Silver elites flying from CO hubs rarely get the upgrades anyway. With EUA, they assuredly will not.

I have flown 4 R/Ts connecting in EWRin the last 4 months, and upgraded on all segments to and from EWR as a Silver. In fact, it is my preferred hub over Houston.

Perhaps you are flying flights, that have a high number of frequent flyer business people on them during the week. I found Friday afternoons and evenings a lousy time for upgrading.

Don't forget the overpaid and highly underworked Moronic PA police who are clueless about traffic control.

EWR is my airport of choice, but I agree with brothers NJDavid and Boomer's reviews.

In fact, getting OUT of my driver Billy's car, fell straight into a pothole right by the UA gate (of course there was traffic and construction everywhere.)

Luckily I only hurt my pride, not my leg (amazing how being 200 pounds can offset any major injury when you fall!)

I've heard about those potholes. Hope you didn't miss your flight while trying to get out!

OK..OK...you've got my vote for the "Whiner of the year"....I'm CO GOLD going on PLAT....have 70 segments this year and have only missed upgrade twice...I fly to a variety of destinations mostly from EWR.I (and a number of others) think you're really blowing this thing out of proportion...please...you have some points.....but enough already!

I thought Doc, with his NW ramblings, had this award locked up.

Flying IAH-MCO tomorrow, ITN has been showing A9 F0 for days. Seats finally released today (showing A9 F9), so I called and played dumb. The agent upgraded me, with some comment about not understanding why it wasn't done automatically. I wasn't about to explain that it was because the seats were just released, so I selected my seat and said 'Thank you'.

Guess I should have let EUA run tonight and see if I got the upgrade, but I didn't want to risk it.

What are you nuts?

Seriously, this just goes to prove a point I said many months ago, that auro-upgrades would not reduce the number of calls that onepass receives.

Sorry I disturbed you. And sorry to the "number of others" as well.

Next time I feel customers are being shafted by a company breaking it's own rules, I'll try not to type loud enough to awaken you from your stupor.
