Lots of variety in my 2000 schedule:
113,000 miles in 56 segments (quite different from, e.g., Cigarman’s schedule).
Upgrades:
Jan-Feb, Platinum – 6 for 6
Mar-May, Gold – 6 for 8
Jul-Oct, Platinum – 12 for 13
Nov-Dec, EUA – 6 for 8 (he last three segments, all during the holidays, each had at least 2 non-filled FC seats, so easy for even EUA to upgrade).

Before EUA, in only 2 cases did I call right after the midnight time; all others between 6-7 AM. (Spouse convinced me that a continuous good night’s sleep was better, since there was only small chance of missing an upgrade anyway).

So Gold pre-EUA was equivalent to Platinum now!
Leave again on Jan 1 for Vac to SCL; three segments, all upgraded, but there are still >8 empty FC seats in each, so not much competition! (had to phone for the COPA codeshare upgrade).
Target for 2001 – 80,000 miles!

What Zip? Doesn't everyone do 162 segments?

JAWs did 120 segments (CO & NW) with apporximately 77,000 status miles, with 6 weeks on the ground due to surgery. Can't say I want to do 162 segments after doing my most segments ever. Congrats or Condolences, whichever is befitting. And, maybe a name change to ironcigarman is in order.

How would you light an iron cigar?

I'm sorry I didn't post my flown miles... I had 34 flights in October. And since CO skipped that month and sent me an printout that has no itemization (I don't want to hear it NJ David...I know www,..). And since I'm sort some flights, but I can't tell which ones... AGGGH. I believe my flown miles will end up at about 135,000.

And just for fun... Jan will be starting off with:

Up to 1/19 mine is as follows:

EWR-MEM-EWR...10 segments ..approx 17K flown miles.

Maybe this all just means that longer flight segments are slightky harder to upgrade. Also, I can't risk responding directly to JAWSII, as I don't want to experiment to see if mu upgrade percentage decreased.

Somewhere along the line, I wanted to mention that, of my 6 upgrades during EUA, only 2 were received by e-mail (and one of those was a day late, after checking and seeing that 11 of 14 FC seats were still unfilled, I called OP and asked why I wasn't upgraded? I understand "holdback," but 11 of 14? The agent cheecked my record to see if all info was correct, and said she would speak to a supervisor, and to want for the next EUA runthrough).
2 were codechares (MW and Copa, so I had to do the older phone-ahead 3-days-in advance thing).
2 were done at the airport.

Zip, I like your two questions...
1)anyone have more than 162 segments?
2)Average more than 2000 miles per segment. However, you need a minimum number of fights for the second question. Or 1 Ewr-Hnk round trip is gonna win. How about a miminum of 20 segments? That should make it more fair.
