Silver Elite Upgrades--How often
After my next flight I will have NWA silver elite status. How many silver elites out there are actually getting bumped up to first class (what are my chances--seems like everyone out there has gold and platinum). Also, do they ever send out free passes to the President's Club.

Read through the various EUA posts. Not looking too great for Silvers.

NW would not be involved with passes for CO's club (presidents club). As a NW elite, Maybe NW gives out passes to their club, to their elites?

John,
As a Silver, I was 6 for 6 prior to EUA. Since EUA, I've been 0 for 2. And most other Silvers here have reported pretty much the same results.
I'll be Gold after my next segment, but I'm not looking for it to be much better. From what I've seen here Golds do still get a few upgrades, but nothing like what they got pre-EUA. The upgrades are now all going to the Plats automatically, whether they really want them or not, so there isn't much left for Golds, and almost nothing for Silvers.
As cigarman said, I'm sure NW isn't going to send out CO PC passes. But, when I made CO Silver, they did send me two passes to the PC. So, perhaps, NW will send you a couple passes to the WC. If you really want CO PC passes, you can offer a trade here on the "Coupon Connection." I just picked up a couple of AA passes doing that!

As a silver NW Elite, flying from DCA most of the time... occasionally BWI, I was/am still 100% for the year. Now I'm gold, so don't have to worry as much. Since NW had the auto-up for plats and gold at the beginning of the year, the only people silvers were/are fighting now are other silvers. Although I always check ITN to see my chances for an upgrade and I still call and check on my upgrades after midnight, if they havnt gone through the cust. service agents usually puts them through for me. I still think NW and CO have a great program, remember unlike UA you get upgrades for FREE! No certificates, don't have to fly 10K miles to get certs, no buying certs, etc. Remember that fact....

I'm a Silver. 100% before EUA, 100% after EUA. The secret...I fly full-fare and I don't live near a hub.
