How to use ITN?
After going to ITN (now AmExp) to check on F and A seats, I'm stumped. Where/how does one do this? Thanks.

First, register with ITN.
Second, change your profile to "expert".
Then your can search the flights. ITN wil display the availibility on A and F seats. F seats are the upgradable ones.
Hope this will help!

I don't even see a way to access my profile. The closest thing is "edit My American Express" and there are no profile options like expert/novice etc. Am I looking in the wrong place?

After logging on, go to Personal tools, its in the bottom left side. click on travel profile, then from the popup window, click on display preferences. then set availability format to expert.

Thanks, Boomer - I'v got it now. So now I'm checking in on my Tuesday return from Jacksonville; three A's left, no F's. Guess I'll have to keep calling at 11:55 or so!

Does anyone know what "D" seats are?
I checked first class seating on Continental from Newark to Los Angeles for my flight and they show seats in the following;
"A" 9 Seats
"D" 5 Seats
"F" 0 Seats
Thanks for your help.

I believe that D seats are international first class. If you were flying on an international itinerary, the F/C seat on the domestic leg would come out of this inventory.

"D" seats are also on domestic flights. I was told they are available for award travel. A=full fare available to sell, D=available for award tickets, F=available for complimentary upgrade. Can anyone confirm?
