Good EUA experience
I have a flight planned for 11/22, to go visit family for Thanksgiving. I had originally booked a morning flight, but decided about 11pm on the 21st that I would need to change this to an evening flight due to work issues.
In any event, I had looked on Tuesday evening at ITN, and saw that my new flight had A3 D3 F3 Y9 H9 etc. So, I figured there would be no problem in changing my reservation and picking up an EUA. Some time passed, and I suddenly realized that it was 11:55pm CST! It suddenly clicked that the Silver Elite EUAs probably had already run, and that they would swoop in ahead of me (I'm Gold Elite) since I had not reticketed.
In a panic, I called the Elite line while simultaneously refreshing the ITN page. ITN still showed A3 D3 F3 on my desired flight. I got through to an agent right away, and got my flight change confirmed.
Not 5 minutes later, at 12:09am CST, I got my first ever EUA confirmation email, saying that I had been upgraded on my new flight. I refreshed ITN, and it now shows A0 D0 F0. If I had waited just 10 minutes more to change my flight, I would be sitting in back.
So, I have to say that this was a good EUA experience for me. I was especially impressed that the EUA will catch changes made just minutes before it processes a particular flight.

Steve, I purchased a ticket last week, three days out, 20 minutes prior to EUA kick in, and it caught me as well. Upgraded with email confirmation within 30 minutes of ticketing.
