connecting question.

I will be flying YYZ-IAH-NRT-SEL in April 2001.

When I connect in IAH, will I be required to re-claim luggage ane re-check my bags? I'm not to familiar with connecting from Canada.

Thanks,
Jason

No, you will not have to claim and re-check your bags or even clear customs in IAH on the OUTBOUND. US Customs has facilities in YYZ. You clear US Customs while still on Canadian soil and proceed to a "sterile" area to wait for your flight. If you are in First Class or are a President's Club member, you will receive a code for entrance to the Continental VIP room.

As someone who went transborder (as crossing US-Canada is called instead of international) several times last month I know all customs are done on the Canadian site at your entry airport into Canada.

And Customs has definitely become less and less friendly as time goes on.. next time I'll stay home

Yes!

And yes too!

"And Customs has definitely become less and less friendly as time goes on."

Perhaps the job has gotten tougher!
