Dgolds, I was wondering where the signup bonus was too? I was surprised to see none! Hopefully that will change!

Just a warning I found out while asking about the program:
If you have AT&T Personal Rewards points, YOU WILL FORFEIT THEM IF YOU CONVERT OVER TO THIS PROGRAMS
SO the thing to do is: cash in all your Personal Rewards points and then make the switch (which is what i"m doing!)

Another thing to be careful of, if you make international calls, AT&T tends to be more expensive then MCI. I call Holland, Ireland and the UK quite a bit, and AT&T is more then MCI under all the plans I looked it. So, while it is nice to have options (MCI & AT&T), better do a full benchmark comparison before making the switch.

I called the 800 line that was mentioned in a USA Today clip on Continental - ATT. Was only offered 1,000 miles as a sign up bonus. Has anyone been offered more?

Do you have to ask for the 1000 bonus miles or is it automatically given?

Ummmmm....
I am not a fan of MCI. I switched to them to get a NWA promotion. I then switched to Sprint to get another. One catch- MCI had put a block on my line prevnting the switch- which I never authorized. I found this out be opening my local phone bill yesterday to find over $800 in long distance charges for last month, averaging out to about $3 a minute. I was very angry with MCI, so I called them to let them know exactly how angry I was. They claim to have reduced the charges, and will take the block off. Good riddance
I hope CO and AT&T expand this to AT&T Wireless...
Let's see some switching bonuses here, or I'll keep circling back to get miles through phone service on toher programs. I'd say a 20,000 miles bonus would be a good way to start....

I just a letter from MCI, today. It states that you can stay with MCI thru June 2001 and continue to earn MCI miles.
When I heard that CO switched to AT&T, I made the switch, immediately.(If I remember, correctly, no other info was given other than to say that CO was using AT&T.)I regret that move. In the short time I was with AT&T, I got a $100 phone bill!!! I was charged 50cents a minute on a call from St. Pete, FL to Houston (early evening rates.) Thinking I'm getting 7cents a minute, the call lasted over an hour!! The other calls on that bill had similar charges.
I was not told of a bonus when I signed up. I called AT&T to ask about it. I was shuttled from person to person till, finally, given to a supervisor. She told me that "no bonus miles will be awarded!!" to convert to AT&T.
After getting this letter, today. I called MCI. I was given 3000 bonus miles for coming back and given my old rate program.
In my short time with AT&T, I was not impressed. I'll take my chances (and bonus miles) with MCI till the end of June 2001!!
