Frequent Flyer Software
How do folks track their frequent flyer points? I simply allow the companies to track my points and usually only catch any glaring errors (usually pretty rare). I have heard of tracking software and was curious if others used those software and how beneficial they are.

AA where I'm ExPlt. They start as planning tools and then become a way
of auditing the airline and finally an aid to keep track of where I stand YTD.

If you have multiple FF accounts, you can use yodlee (through the new "oncenter" view at yodlee.com or a branded version of the olderstyle yodlee through something like chaseonlineplus.chase.com) to track the airlines' official counts.
Then you can just keep around a simple spreadsheet where you add a row each time you buy a ticket.

You can go to InsideFlyer back edition and see an article comparing some, http://www.insideflyer.com/articles/...e.php?key=1276
Just search for the above program words and you'll see about 10 threads or so.

USA today has a mile tracker program that I use. It automatically downloads all of your FF info.

RIght now I use a fairly complex spread sheet that calculates everything based only miles flown and fare code. It's very AA specific, but it calculates...
Q-Points
Q-Miles
Actual miles flown
COS bonuses
Elite status by segments and miles
Miles(YTD, Actual Total,Lifetime)
Cost YTD
Million Miler status
I've developed one for HP, BA, VS, Hilton, and Starwood as well.
I'm still developing a web based DB that will encompass all of this info so I won't need seperate spreadsheets.
