Alaska codeshare question
I bought a ticket last week from DFW to SEA for travel in May on Alaska Airlines. The legs from DFW to SFO and PDX to DFW are on American. The Legs from SFO to SEA and SEA to PDX are on Alaska/Horizon. My question is can I get Onepass miles for the entire trip since it is completely ticketed on Alaska (ie Alaska codeshare on the American flights) or only on the flights actually flown on Alaska. Also, if I can't get the American flights credited with Onepass, can I split the trip by choosing Advantage miles on the American flights (since Alaska is an Advantage partner) and then get Onepass miles for the Alaska flown portion??? This partner and codesharing world is getting way too confusing.

My experience with trips with this "complication" is that you can do it, but track it. Make sure that your Onepass number is on your reservation, and that you keep all of your boarding passes. Since the flight numbers are AS, you should be ok.
Good luck!

It's nearly a dead cert that some or all of your segments on AS will not show up on your next OP statement no matter how careful you are to give the number to AS at checkin. You will have to resolve the matter with OP by sending in photocopies of boarding passes and ticket receipts snailmail but not to worry, the OP people are very anxious to get it right and you will eventually get the miles.
