CO "select"

I got a flyer recently that offers:

Fly 42 roundtrips btwn 3/1/00-3/1/01 pay with Amex and get 420,000 amex or OP miles. At 46 RT you get 40K more and at 53 you get another 70K. Now that I live in UT little chance of getting that.

I'm beginning to think CO has a rep. here who has it in for Jaws when defining the selection criteria.

Seriously though, I think this comes from the knowledge that one can often overlook their "captive" (as in, "Where else are they going to go?") customers in Texas.

Texas is well-covered by CO, so they are convenient. In New England, CO is just another airline, with a little bit of an advantage with EWR as a hub. So promos up here are likely to draw more new participants than in Texas, where they'd get the promo as an afterthought.

I'm not saying this is right, I'm just speculating that this is what goes on and why Jaws doesn't see the promos.

I am really beginning to wonder? (Yes Tute they are basic idea) Why is CO courting me with higher leves that the Catman? I don't know.

BSL

Sorry Jaws.

I think the criteria must have something to do with my participation in the RT's in Texas program I participated in last year. (Double miles for all segments in TX.)The flyer was mailed to my old address in Houston.
