Warm Nuts.....or Warm Nuts.....
Ok, today was a real first.
CO Flight 301 - 6:45 am EWR to DCA.
Monitors at EWR say "BOARDING". I run to the gate to join the line of Elites pre-boarding. No motion...finally an announcement.
"Sorry folks, the Captian says the plane is too cold to board, there'll be a slight delay"
It seems the APU that heats the airplane when the engines are off failed. It took an hour (slight delay?) to replace it. We departed an hour late...with appropriately warmed nuts.
