Re: Codeshares on NW/KLM -

So are you saying that if KLM/NW codeshare a a route (say AMS DTW) then even if it's KLM equipment, a CO Gold will receive elite qualification/miles?

Thanks.

As long as the flight has a NW fligt number, even on a KLM plane, you can get NW or CO (Your choice) elite qualifying miles. Note that this also holds for connections in AMS. However, not all KLM flights out of AMS to other European cities are NW codeshares. You need to look carefully in advance.

In fact, as Vulcan notes, hardly any KLM flights out of AMS to other European cities are NWA code shares. Increasingly over the last few years these routes, except to/from the larger capitol European cities, are not even KLM flights, but rather have become cityhopper or one of their (KLM) many other affiliate airlines.
