CO Web feedback
I just got a lovely response from a gentleman at CO regarding a message I left to them about a week ago.
Here's the short version of the story:
I tried to get elite seating from NW (again), and was told (again) that they don't do that, despite me having been told a few minutes before by CO Elite that all NW has to do is call CO to verify the Elite status.
Well, I called CO back, and the agent I had on the phone called NW and got it straightened out, despite it taking him about 20 minutes of hold time. I figured that sort of dedication to a customer deserves reward, so I sent CO a note of my extreme satisfaction with their service, and pointed out that their service is the reason I fly CO exclusively today if they serve the route.
I really wasn't expecting a response, but they did send me one today thanking me for my comments, and noted that they'd pass the kudos onto the reservations center.
What an airline!

Nice to hear about the response, Michael.
Doesn't CO have the 'atta boy' coupons like DL & UA have for service recognition? This would have been a good time to use one.
I used one with a DL phone CS agent, using miles to upgrade Jackie to HNL, and when we got to the airport no miles were needed. Coincidence, or did the coupon help??

Nope, no coupons at CO. Wouldn't have helped anyway; this was a telephone agent.
But I do make it a point to let CO know when someone goes either far above or far below the call of duty. Fortunately, I've only had one CO employee fall into the latter category over the entire past year.

My feeling is that same about Continental. They have some real go-getters there.
Northwest doesn't seem to know how to treat their own members, nevertheless, Continental's members. I avoid them at all cost... including flying Phoenix to Minnespolis via Cleveland/Houston/(even EWR once) just to avoid them!
