This remind anyone of Braniff....
NEW YORK CITY, October 4, 1999 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) announced
today its corporate sponsorship of NYC 2000, saying it will commemorate New York Citys
millennium celebration by specially painting a new jumbo jet in honor of the city. Peter Max is the
world-renowned artist whose design will grace the plane. NYC 2000, the official millennium
committee for New York City, was established through an Executive Order By Mayor Rudolph W.
Giuliani to ensure that the citys millennium celebrations showcase New York as the capital of the

Sadly I was at the airport heading out two of the three times I believe that Braniff filed for bankruptcy. Once, a Las vegas vacation on AA and once a business trip to New Orleans on CO. needless to say the airport was a mess both times and I was happy to miss the last filing!!!
