Quick 10k miles
Anyone aware of any Continental promos
that would get me 10k miles right quick (credit card deals, etc.). I am just short for a b-class ticket and don't want to make up the difference in miles by buying them.
Thanks.

jexjex: Do you have any points in a hotel program that you can convert into miles? Or with Diners Club or American Express Membership rewards?

Get a Chase Continental Credit Card and get 6,000 bonus miles.
see: http://creditcards.chase.com/Product...ntinental.html
If it is your first year with one-pass, signup for one of the Priveldge packs. Earn 5,000 or 7,500 bonus miles (depending upon which one you get).
see: http://www.onepass.com/packs.htm
Open an E*Trade account (utilize the link at ClickRewards) and earn up to 25,000 clickpoints (which can be transfered to One-Pass one for one ratio)

jexjex, depending on what you mean by "right quick" this may be helpful, especially if you need to travel (on Continental or Continental Express) prior to claiming your Reward Ticket?

Thanks all for you responses... I think I will sign up for the credit card, maybe transfer a few Starpoints into my OnePass account (had forgotten you could do this).

Just a quick FYI, once you sign up for the Chase Continental VISA, it still takes a couple months for the bonus to post. I think mine didn't post till after my second full billing period. Hope you get the miles you need.

CO also has an affinity card with the Bank of Hawaii. The annual fee is $45 and 2 500 miles are credited upon opening the account. You get another 2 500 miles with your first purchase bringing the total bonus to 5 000 miles.
There is a possible catch: in some places I have seen that the Bankoh card is only for HI residents and the Chase card is for all other states. However the application I have here says:
"If you are a resident of HI or another US state you will receive a CO OnePass Visa Card. If you are a resident of a Pacific Island other than the islands of the State of Hawaii, you will receive a CO Micronesia OnePass Visa Card."
This implies that it is ok to be a resident of another state.
To apply by phone:
800.372.7725 option 4
When I called I was told that HI residents may apply over the phone and residents of other US states must send in their application. You can call and ask for one or email me and I'll send you mine.
