Ok, I take back anything negative that I had to say about continental. Flying BusinessFirst on those DC-10s is worth any bit of aggrevation that I have had in the past week. Last week, not only did they put me on another airline going from San Fran to San Antonio, but they put me on another airline on the way from San Antonio to San Fran. I was pretty angry about all the problems I had last week.

However, when I finally got on a Continental Flight last night, I realized that Continentals BusinessFirst kicks Americans butt in First Class. There is no comparison between the two. Contiental has soooooo much space in between seats and the chairs recline so far back, you are almost horizontal. Plus, American flights from Dallas to San Fran never had any movies and very little overhead space. Continental has a ton of overhead space in BusinessFirst and many movies to choose from. I am so glad I switched over to Continental. This is the life. This is the way first class should be. American needs to take a chapter out of the continental book.

I'm a Delta Million-Miler disgusted with Delta and looking to change allegiance. When I called Continental to ask if they'd honor my elite status, It was suggested that I wait until after the first of the year, since there were some changes coming that would work to my advantage. Anyone else heard anything like this?

I am a Delta Gold Medallion and also am considering a switch; however, living in Atlanta, it is difficult because Delta has so many nonstops from Atlanta, and they have wide bodies to almost every West coast city.

I have not flown many other airlines since starting with Delta, but I think I am ready to try a new one. I have flown Continental twice in the past month and from the ticket agent, gate agent, and flight attendants, I have seen above average customer service and they are generally in a friendly mood. If Continental will match my Delta elite status, then I think I am likely to switch. And yes, Continental's DC 10's 1st domestic 1st class is far above Delta's domestic 1st class on 767's and L1011's.
