NEVER got EUA as Silver - is this unusual
I'm wondering if something is wrong with my reservations (all booked on CO.com, mainly in N/U fares) -
I have not ONCE gotten EUA since earning Silver, but am about 75-80% with upgrades on mainline flights when I use OLCI. So clearly it's not that my flights are overloaded with Plats or have no R availability. Do Silvers just not get EUA even on flights where F isn't full?

Given that EUAs for silver and OLCI occur around the same timeframe, I would imagine that this would occur a lot. Plus, depending on your routes CO has been holding back a LOT of seats for sale until the 3 hour window.

Well, I never got EUA when I was silver, I do sometimes get it as gold but not on high elite volume flights (EWR-IAH, transcon etc).
If you are flying out of EWR, you are in Platinum land.

Was recently upgraded as a Silver on a RT between LAX and MSY -- IAH connections. Thru OLCI.

Others have mentioned that if for any reason the name on your OnePass account and the name booked on your reservation have any slight variance (I'd imagine even a middle initial can cause a problem), the EUA tends to bypass you due to a "mismatch" between names.

i dont think many people ever get the EUA anymore. CO tries to sell the seats now. cant say i blame them.

for all intents and purposes EAU really no longer exists. Many, many seats are held back. That you are hitting 75% plus as silver is a good average...

The few times that I am not flying on company time and purchase the fare myself, I have been lucky enough to recieve an upgrade as a PLT via EUA.

I just made Gold, but got upgraded all the time when I was silver. Usually, no upgrade on AUS-IAH or AUS-EWR, but almost every other flight I took this year, I got moved up to FC.
