PC Showers
My girlfriend and I will be using the PC in IAH later this week. This is one of the PCs with showers, and this being my first visit to a PC (thanks AMEX Plat), I was wondering is someone could reassure my GF that shower facilities are available for women too..! CO's website doesn't make any mention of separate showers for women; I'm assuming these are the usual hotel type showers that open into the PC itself, rather than into a locker room or something like that...
Thanks in advance...

Neither of you will have any trouble at all, nor will either feel uncomfortable. It is by no means a locker room atmosphere at all.
Also in each private shower room is a sink/counter/mirror and toilet, so everything you need is there. It's really nice and there's shampoo/soap if you forget yours or if you're not too discriminate with particular brands of toiletries. Your girlfriend should be quite pleased.

Call me naive, but this question stems from my college days.
Would it be best to wear shower slippers in the PC showers or is going barefooted okay? (Referring to the cleanliness of the showers)

Make sure your AMEX Plat is valid for the PC; not all of 'em are. If you can get in, I'd suggest the new E concourse location. It is elegant and the showers are on the third floor where there's the least traffic.

The showers in the PC in E are very nice... I just used one about 2 months ago. It's basically a private room with a toilet, shower stall and sink. They have shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap in large dispensers in the shower with plenty of towels.
They also will press any clothing you have; I didn't do this as I was traveling on leisure. I don't know if they only let certain travelers use them.. they did ask where I came in from.. (LAX) and where I was going (NRT)
BTW, When I went, 6am Thursday Morning, it was very empty and the check in desk is on the opposite side of the PC, so I don't think anybody would know if you took you g/f in with you....

I've been asked a number of times when accompanied by my wife, 'One shower room or two?'. We always choose two becaue we're normally gross, tired, and generally repulsed by one another at that point!
