Comp to silver?

My girlfriend is on a track to earn gold by the end of the year, and silver in the next two weeks. She has a bunch of travel coming up in the next week, and I was wondering if it's possible to get her bumped to silver a little early. I called the OPSC, and they said they couldnt do anything, even with all of her booked travel, because it could be cancelled (even though it's nonrefundable).

Anyone know of another avenue to put in the request? (I think i remember someone posting an email address of someone who might help)

I think with all of her travel coming up this week, at least getting to preboard/priority security would make things much less stressful for her.

I'm a gold, very close to reaching plat (will reach plat this year), and usually she gets the benefits as being my companion, but on all of this travel, I will not be with her.

Call back and talk to someone else. My GF got the silver and my friend got the Gold, each by calling within the week of travel. Good luck to her...if it is a more leisurely fare she might even get the EUA

I second this suggestion - I was at 49K miles and recently got a week-early bump to Gold by calling the OPSC. They also did the same for my girlfriend by giving her an early Silver, as she had 28 segments when I called.

Partners and Silver

Earlier this year I traveled on a couple of OP partners and had the credits go to another airline, not knowing that I could have credited them to OP. I have emailed to ask if they would consider adding those segments to what I actually have credited and allow me silver status for 2005. I only asked this morning, but am ready to furnish the documentation as it would get me to 31 segments by year end.

The pre-boarding and preferred seating is the reason that I submitted the request.
