Talking What Happened!

So here is what happened...

I offered my BP up around non (after calling co reservations to find out out if the flight at 1 was over, said it was) and said, "Hey you were great to help me before, and you're going to think I'm insane, but Ii heard this flight was over sold too, and if you need my seat I'll take a bump, but can you put me on the red eye?" She said, "I'll take your BP, but this flight is only over by 3 so you may get on..."

I went back to wait at the Presidents Club... about 10 minutes prior to departure she came for me and said every seat was full and no one had to bump... I was like oh good....

Personally I rather have stayed and from reading the previous posts about SEA .. I think I'll be back to visit

I did think though maybe she didn't wanna do a double bump... but I doubt that was it. Like I thought it just never hurts to ask if they they "need" you 'cause it makes it a lil easier on them.

On a brighter note, my fare class due to the bump for the SEA-EWR was made a Y class soo I think I might get the 150% lol (my fare class was U previously), If not .. oh well no bigge...

Vincent--don't count on that bonus. You'll get your 100% EQM based on fare class purchased. When I took a bump on an award ticket earlier this year my new BP also said Y, but the system was smart enough to know I was not to receive any mileage, let alone 150%.

Regarding Seattle, absolutely plan to go back whenever you have the chance. It's my favorite U.S. city. And while it is normally cloudy outside of summer/early fall, it actually gets less rainfall than NYC.

tod, you know better than to spread rumors like that. living in seattle i've learned, 1 - don't get too excited about baseball (mariners) 2 - a "cute" bungalow that needs tlc costs 500k, and 3 - always tell visitors "it rains all the time".

ps big foot is real

btw - sea pc is a favorite, great csa and... please tip the bartenders.

I agree with TT, the BP only says Y, because it is easier for them to issue it that way. It does not affect your original reservation and/or mileage accrual.

Even if you mail it in, they go back to the original booking, in the lower class.
I know, I tried it once too

Bummer....

Wink

Well, like I said .. it would be no biggie... (if i didn't get the 150%)

BTW, I really did like the PC club out there.. the staff of two were fabulous people who tried so hard to say my last name right "Mr. Sitao," even when I said "Don't worry about it call me Vincent!"

It's really the little things with Continental that make me stick with them despite the whole fiasco with OnePass right now...

I did forget to mention though that continental.com totalty screwed up my reservation. I went to ANC on a lil MR, pulled a semi same day (arrived in in the afternoon, left just after midnight) although it did end up being some business. Anyways, back to co screwing up ... it listed my res and EWR-SEA which was totally wrong, it was booked as EWR-ANC... it sorta saw my trip as ewr-iah-anc-sea / return of sea-ewr.... So when I checked in online (no EUA here came through 24h prior) I got upgraded for ewr-iah-anc and asked me print according boarding passes (which I didn't do cause my printer died), I then at the airport tried to reprint at a kiosk which I've done before.. but it said ask for special assiatance.. which after like 25 minutes of typing away the Agent was able to do...

Aha! I knew you guys were in cahoots on #3. The M's are in the dumps, but I do love the stadium. Can't wait to check out a Seahawks game next month. I concur regarding the terrific agents in the PC. And vincent--don't forget to feed the birds at Ivar's.
