I've been getting these every year for the last 3 years and I don't understand how they come up with these offers. The challenge clearly has nothing to do travel patterns. My Plat status comes largely from long haul flights in BF with a smattering of holiday flights. The number of flights that they expect me to complete in a few months does not reflect my travel patterns at all. If I did many short segments and they wanted to give me insentive to up my flight class, the offer would make sense

They want to give you an incentive to fly more, not to just fly on a higher fare class.

I'm not sure how others received their "invite" but mine came in the mail and specifically said it was for me.

I couldn't register online, I had to call. So I doubt (although I could be wrong ) posting the registration number here would be helpful.

I hope I get one of these, since I do have a bunch of flying scheduled for the next several months

I realize that. However, one would think that the challenge would have some relation to the members flying patters, if for no other reason than to make it tenable

On the contrary -- they clearly already have that business.

While they may (currently) have that business, it would seem that if they want me to take the bait and book additional travel, it should be something tenable that is based on recent or more historical travel patterns. From my perspective ( and I am the one supposedly targetted here), there is no way I'll ever make that number of bookings. Nor is there any evidence that I would. Seems that they should reach a bit beyond a traveller's status quo, vs way beyond it

! This promotion code is not in the system.

I tried a bunch before and after. Just came up with expired Continental Select offers. Anyone else find anything?

It's strange, the offer rewards me for flying in exactly the same pattern I've followed for the last 18mos. I'd fly those roundtrips anyway, no new business here. :-)

Promo code is also tied to your OnePass number. If you're not on the list, you don't get in. This is a targeted deal only, and they've got it locked up.

Got the offering today in the mail . My first after many years. It runs from 10/1-3/31/06 . The qouta is 26 flights for 104,000 miles ,3 more for 15,000 and 4 more for 24,000 for a total of 143,00 bonus miles. I have no idea how these numbers were arrived and how I could attain them! I fly almost weekly ,but still these numbers particularly over the hoidays wiil be hard to reach.
