But you're certainly right, in a perfect world there could be a big thread that was just "CO vs. AA or UA for Asia." (and/or Europe, etc.) and that would be an entirely separate discussion. But I do think a bit of "bleed-through" is inevitable as people search for alternatives.
How far would you like the side-tracking to go? I feel it has gone far enough. If you feel the need to continue the discussion please start another thread. Feel free to post a "continue the discussion here" message. I am not trying to stifle anyone. I'm simply trying to keep things organized.

No, no-- I totally, completely, 100% defer to your moderation-- I wasn't clear enough that I agreed with you and was just pointing out... well, nothing really, I was just being devil's advocate. By all means you are just trying to "focus" the conversation-- and that's a very important thing, IMHO. And, truth be told, there are dozens of AA vs CO vs UA threads-- with tons of relevant, up-to-date info-- just free for the searching. Apologies is you thought I was moderator-moderating-- I'm definitely not "one of those."

My second to last post was definitely off-topic, by my penultimate was very on-topic. I shall delete the former.

Depends on what you're looking for... If you are one of those people who want a quiet/none busy airport... I would imagine connecting though GUM is much better than NRT, which is a very very busy airport...
