Thanks Channa for the tip. I lost all of my seat assignments on the domestic F portions of an international J trip, although the equipment (735/738) is still the same. Fortunately, the BF seats (row 1) are still secured.

You have to love CO IT guys.

They changed my BWI to LAX flight so that I leave CLE before I leave BWI.

Just proves that if you don't check your res every now and then you might not have what you want.

I guarantee the IT guys had nothing to do with it.

I got a couple of those too. Mine are IAH-EWR or EWR-IAH?

I think that the schedules haven't been finalized on a couple of the routes. Give it a day or two and check back.

The seat selector is back on-line, that is at least for my flights.

wonderful The 10p EWR-DCA flight is gone this means no flights after 3pm for Florida based travelers heading to BWI/DCA/IAD/BOS. Nice move, CO...how can you expect to be taken seriously as a business airline if we have to leave our offices at 1pm to catch a 3pm flight and lose half the day? What was wrong with the later evening flights to short-haul destinations like DCA/IAD/BWI so passengers arriving on inbounds around 9pm could connect onward? Why not bump the 7pm EWR/DCA to 830p and move the 810p to 945p to accomodate the later arriving flights?

To add insult, the schedule shows an 8p departure that overnights at EWR, connecting at 6am. I wonder if they include a hotel room with that fare . I could go to BWI via IAH, arriving very late (about 1am), but fares aren't properly published for that routing. If they published fares properly for that routing I would fly it, even with the trip taking longer and arriving late.

That's BAD news.
Check to see if you can be rerouted onto a codeshare via DTW...
Those leave out of TPA/MCO/FLL etc at 5:25 5:30 or so.
...worth a shot.

[QUOTE=bocastephen]wonderful The 10p EWR-DCA flight is gone ..QUOTE]

I don't get this. It makes it nearly impossible to get back to DCA during the evenning hours from anywhere. These later flights inot DCA were a real help and they were mostly RJs. I know I took the 7:50pm flight a few saturday's ago (that's the last flight on Sat) and there was only like 2-3 empty seats.

Coming though IAH is not much better don't remember last flight of day to DCA from there but it's probaly like 7:30 or so. meaning have to leave west coast by by 1pm...

I agree that it makes it harder for business people to actually use CO and I thought they wanted us..

those flights are still too early for my company's liking (I would need to leave the office at 330 or so) and I would only earn 50% EQM on NWA - they raised their non-VLTK fares to WAS by over $200 in the last few months

The 6-630p departures from FLL to EWR and IAH were the earliest I could take. I get a good discount on DL which has later flights, both going and returning, but that would require sitting in coach - not something to look forward to on a DL MD88.

I will go back to the drawing board to see if I have any contacts with good corp. discounts on CO V+ or NW Q+ fares and just build the booking via IAH manually.

Don't you find booking CO through IAH manually can significantly increase the fare? The only way I have been able to successfully route FLA to DCA via IAH and maintain a reasonable fare is to purchase NWA paper on, obviously, CO metal?!?!?
Is there a tactic I'm missing?

That is the right tactic - but to get 100% EQM, you need to book Q or higher on NWA. Here is how things break down as a comparison if you go for the lowest fare on NWA instead:

EQM mileage approx. from my memory

100% EQM on CO
----------------------
FLL - EWR 1,073
EWR - DCA 500
DCA - EWR 500
EWR - FLL 1,073
----------------------
total EQM 3,146

50% EQM on NW
------------------
FLL - IAH 500
IAH - BWI 625
DCA - DTW 250
DTW - FLL 520
--------------------
total EQM 1,895
(going back via IAH adds about 340 EQM, but alot of extra risk as DCA-IAH upgrades are very hard and there is a tight connect back to FLL)

* The lowest CO fare via EWR is about 215 r/t w tax
* The lowest CO fare via IAH is about 310 r/t w tax (Q/I/L classes)
* The lowest CO fare via IAH is 502 r/t w tax (U/V class)
* The lowest NW fare (50% EQM) has been as low as 137 r/t w tax, but is now about 250 on the CO flights.
* The lowest NW fare via IAH to BWI (Q or higher) is 315 r/t w tax. Returning from DCA/IAD increase the fare to 443 r/t w tax
