Rumour has it that Continental will be joining SKYTEAM on May 1st. Is this true?? Any commments on timing has anyone seen this in writing??

ok so is this looking like it will happen...called onepass and I had to explain to them what Skyteam was...

I wouldn't expect them joining Skyteam until later in the summer...

I expect that this has been delayed to accomodate the AF/KLM merger, which is now expected to close around May 5, and could still get pushed back further. I don't think any regulators would be willing to approve of CO and NW joining SkyTeam until the future of KLM is dealt with, so I expect these two issues are being fully linked.

Will DL elites be able to upgrade on CO/NW flights like it is now between NW/CO when this happens? That would be awsome, I can not wait for KLM to become part of ST
