Missing bags
Hi flyertalk
I have a bag missing since feb 1st. My flight was lax to ewr to yyz. They had NH tags because i came from hnd.
The bags are either in ewr or yyz. Reason why this happened was I got on a slightly later flight lax cle yyz and bags were checked already
CO hasnt managed to trace the bags yet. Not sure what to expect as i never had a loss baggage before. Is there anything i should be aware of when i fill out the claim form?

Key is to complete the claim work, be reasonable and read the baggage t&c carefully so that you aren't claiming for things CO doesn't cover. Making claims outside of the reasonable or which are not covered, just delays the whole process and ultimately gets you less.
Good luck.

File your cliam ASAP at the final destination on the routing. Since your flight included intl segments, the bags would not be loaded on a transborder flight without you on the same plane until certain other requirements are met. The only one of those in your control is filling out the PAWOB (passenger arriving withuot bag) form in YYZ.
