Revup from and to Denver?
Is the Revup program available from DEN to HNL and viceversa?
Are Op ups from HNL to DEN possible?
How do you find out the fare difference between G and W from HNL to DEN?

I like to compare the cheapest currently available fare vs. a W fare.
The lowest fare I see available for sample travel in September is $660 a/i r/t (two T fares, both directions about $300).
The W fare I see for sample travel in September is $847 a/i r/t (two W fares, both directions about $400).
To find the fare difference I used matrix.itasoftware.com's route language -- I wrote that I wanted advanced routing codes "f / f bc=w" to only look at nonstop travel booked into W. I also could have used continental.com's advanced search and specified that I wanted to buy fare class "W".
Why do you want a W fare? In the new MileagePlus program (which we're not sure when it will go live) you can use a CR1 or a SWU on any flight from mainland U.S. to Hawaii with no fare restrictions.

Mherdeg, thanks for your advise.
I"m coming back from HNL on 11 Jan, and like you said we are not sure when the new MP will go live, but I'm willing to bet that it won't be January.

Op-ups are always possible, but I would not count on receiving one. Out of my 86 regularly scheduled, commercial flights this year (60 of which were on UA/CO), I received a total of three op-ups: Y->J for a VDB, Y->J for an op-up, and J->F for an op-up, all on United's p.s. service.

It sounds like you've already ticketed. Changing from G to W now would almost certainly require a change fee and repricing the ticket as if you bought it today. If you haven't ticketed, consider routing through California as that's eligible for UDU/EUA.

I don't think anyone has called to ask CO whether there's a day-of-departure upgrade-purchase program (GG REVUP) for SFO-DEN.
sbm12 wrote in June that CO told him there were no documented prices for HNL-DEN, http://boardingarea.com/blogs/thewan...grade-pricing/.
But I don't think anyone has checked in recently.

Update!
I received an Op-up from HNL to DEN a couple of days ago, and I asked if Rev-ups are available from HNL-DEN and she said not at this time, but perhaps in the near future.

1) So, are REVUPs now available for DEN-HNL? If not, when?
2) If flying on a BF ticket (not a REVUP), does one have access to DEN UC?
3) Just to note: someone with a DEN-HNL S-fare tried to upgrade with a SWU; was told (trying to do this on-line on her account) that SWU not available because of fare restrictions.

If you are flying in C on DEN-HNL, you are allowed to use the RCC. They've even got a CO DEN-HNL BP taped up behind the entry counter, and a note about allowing access.

Thanks, this clarifies some confusion in other threads. And nice to know about the BP taped behind the entry counter!

There seems to be NO BF on any mainland-HNL flights anymore!
