Question about CR1

Hello,

I am currently waitlisted for First Class, because I have applied a CR-1 to my reservation. If the upgrade does not clear prior to the day EUA begins (i.e. 5 days), will the CR-1 have any effect? I guess what I am asking is, do CR-1's hold priority over complimentary upgrades even within the EUA window?

So would a Silver using a CR-1 have a higher priority than Platinum's on non Y/B/M fares even within the 5 day window?

Thanks,

If there are a lot of F seats before the 5 day window starts, I usually pull the CR1 back because as a plat/1K I am near the top of the upgrade queue.

If it's a long flight that I really want to ensure the upgrade, I'll leave it in to be sure.

To answer your last question, instruments always trump complementary upgrades, so a silver or non-elite on a CR1 or miles would trump an elite on non ybm EUA.
