Check In for CO/VS Codeshare

I'm on a CO reward tix this Friday, EWR (CO-F) - BOS (VS-UC)-LHR -EWR (CO). I know I can do OLCI for my CO portion, but what about my VS codeshare? Do I call VS on Thursday at the 24 hr mark, check in all segments on CO or do a partial CO OLCI for EWR-BOS & LHR-EWR and have to do a physical check in on VS in BOS ?

You definitely won't get a proper set of BPs from CO if you do OLCI only with CO.

You're going to have to change terminals at BOS anyways, I believe, so my guess is that stopping by the VS counter on the way in will be the best bet.

I have completed IAH-BOS-LHR on CO/VS before, in F/UC and yes I would stop by the VS ticket counter at BOS after changing terminals. VS does not like CO boarding passes, even though they may have all the relevant information on them.

Also when checking in with CO, I had the option of checking my luggage all the way through to LHR, or picking up and rechecking at BOS. I opted to recheck myself manually as my connection from IAH had plenty of time. That way your bags will have the official VS priority tags on them and hopefully be among the first at baggage claim. Be sure also to check out the VS BOS club - a handy place to stop by for some pre-flight food and beverage and the expedited TSA screening lane for UC passengers - it was a zoo when I was there.

Happy travels!

Thanks for the quick response. As I will only have a small carry on (I'm returning on Sun), no problem with regards to checked baggage. I've heard that the VS Clubhouse is a bit small/cramped. I'm *Gold and have a PC membership-- are there any alternatives I can try out in BOS Terminal E. (I will have about 3 hrs between flights).
