PEK transfer time

I've read a bunch of stuff here on connection times in Beijing, but nothing concrete. Does anyone know if an 1 hour 10 mins is enough time from a TG flight from BKK to PEK with connection to a CO flight to EWR? Luggage would be checked straight through.

Arrive PEK 3:50pm

Depart PEK 5:00pm

I was just looking this up for an award trip I want to book. International-international minimum connection time is 60 minutes if you're staying with in T3 http://www.airchina.com.my/en/my-transfer.html

Both TG and UA (PEK-EWR is UA operated, not CO) use T3E, so you should be OK.

Barely.

The issue is if the flight was delayed. Beside, it is about 5-10 minutes walk for you to get transferred and then another 5-10 minutes back to the gate (even the gate may possibly next to each other).

You must go through immigration and pick up your bags and clear customs, then head down the channel for Domestic flights to recheck them. So it really depends upon the lineups in immigration and if your domestic flight leaves from the new terminal or the old one. Expect at least 20-minutes to a half hour most times to clear immigration, another 15-minutes to wait for and ride the train to the luggage/customs hall. Then 10-15 minutes to recheck your bag and get to the Domestic terminal in the new complex, or about a half hour wait/ride time to get to the old terminal, then allow time for security. It will be tight but should be able to do it. What time of day are you arriving?

Thank you for answering!^

I'm arriving at 11.35am with CA from FRA. Connecting flight is also on CA. Don't they have some staff waiting on the gate to help people with connecting flights, in order to speed up the time?

I assume both flights will be at T3. I'm flying to PEK regualry but never had a connecting flight, so I thought there will be a transfer service or something like this.

Is this accurate? We are tranfering through PEK, and the info I was given by CA is our bags would be checked through and we would be given a 24 hour transit visa, then head straight for our gate. If we have to get collect bags thats adds a bit to our time estimate.

If you are continuing domestically you can't use a transit visa.
If continuing domestically, you'll have to pick up the bags.
