Continental.com Question
Hey all,
Is there a way to check to see if a complimentary domestic upgrade has been requested for my reservation on Continental.com?
Thanks,
Brewdog11

By virtue of being an elite on a flight operated by CO you will be included in the sweeps for upgrades at the appropriate windows. There is nothing specifically displayed on the reservation to indicate this.

Assuming that:
you are flying on a CO operated flight on a paid ticket (not a reward ticket)
your CO OnePass number is on the reservation,
you are Gold (or any Elite level), and
you are the only passenger on your record
then you are automatically on the list for a complimentary upgrade to first class whenever traveling domestically (or to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Cental America) except for flights marketed as BusinessFirst (such as IAH-HNL). There is no need to "request" an upgrade for flights on CO.
You will see your name on the upgrade list if you check the flight status on www.continental.com/info or pda.continental.com/info. Just click the "view upgrade standby list" to see your position on the list. Note that only passengers who have checked in for the flight appear on this list and you can only check up to 2 days prior to departure.
