Offering to VDB
Some questions about VDB.
If a flight is oversold in all classes, where do you offer to VDB: at the ticket desk, at the check-in desk or at the gate? When at the gate, what then happens to the checked luggage?
And would it be negotiable to be re-routed in BF when booked in Y as Silver and ask for no further compensation (i.e. in vouchers)?

Do a search. This topic is covered ad nauseum on this thread.
Short answers:
1. At the gate is the best spot;
2. You can negotiate for what you want - how much $ and what flight(s) they rebook you on. Also, what class they rebook you in is negotiable.
If you don't like the deal walk away.
