flights under 2 (I believe) hours it's $5.99, over 2 $7.99. Either way it's per segment.

more info here

$2 off if you have a CO credit/debit card.

They charge per flight, it depends on the schedules lenght of the flight.

***don't hold me two the actual $$'s but I am pretty sure I am in the neighborhood:

Something like 5.00-6.00 for flights up to 2-3 hours, and 7.00-9.00 for flights 3-5hrs.

Also, you can save like 2.00 off a flight if you pay with a CO chase card.

You swipe your credit card in a slot next to the screen. For flights less than two hours it's $5.99. For all other flights its $7.99. If you use a CO credit card you get $2 discount. And of course, complimentary in first.

As they say in the FAQ's

Does the fee give me access to DIRECTV for my entire trip?
There is a charge for each flight segment you travel. Once the plane lands and the aircraft door opens, you will have to swipe your credit card and pay again to access the system.

Remember it only works over the US, so if you are flying outside the 48 you probably won't have it all flight.

Except for the programmed content (e.g., movies) that will continue to work even outside the US.
