Happy EAU for Silver
Couldnt' help but report that Thursday I got two silver EAU's actually over 24 hours out. MBJ IAH, which isnt' a huge surprise, but the big one was IAH EWR. Didn't plan on that, or even think I'd bother looking.
I was doing check in in MBJ and as I checked in for IAH EWR I changed to row 21 emergency row, and hit print, and out came "Economy Class" in that area of my boarding pass, but seat 1B. I guess I was upgraded as I was checking in. I went back into the record, and sure enough it was R class.
So, it does happen! Couldn't believe it.
Went out of EWR on a Z fare EWR IAH MBJ, on the 777. Fabulous service on all 4 flights - CO crews can be great. Just wanted to report.....

I've gotten a silver upgraded on SFO-IAD before on a 757 and SEA-IAD on an A320... so anything's possible

Happy Silver again, cleared 26 hours hour for EWR FLL on the 757 tomorrow.
Flying FLL CLE Wednesday, and looks almost like another guaranteed upgrade, will know probably tomorrow.
There is hope for silvers, been a very good year....

I think I've been upgraded everytime I fly to FLL (even as a silver) so not too surprised. EWR to IAH is a surprise though! Congrats!
