Odd "Pending Upgrade" Behavior on ual.com

Apologies if this was already covered in one of the various transition threads...

I have a reservation next week with a United segment (yes, that's right - after 10 years, I will be setting foot on a United jet again).

The United segment, which is the connecting portion, is showing me as "upgrade pending", but booked in NF. That part is OK - I know I won't clear until 72hrs out, and with only 2 seats taken so far, I'm hopeful it will clear - but - when I click on my coach seat assignment to change my seat, it only shows me the First Class cabin to choose a seat from.

Of course I don't want to choose a seat there since my upgrade didn't officially clear and I don't want to mess things up - but is this "bug" normal? I take it that I should not fiddle with the coach seat assignment online.

Its a known glitch with the UA website. You're still in coach until the upgrade clears. There's a thread about this topic, but I can't remember the title of it. I'm sure one of UA forum savants can pull it up in a nano second though.
