COPA question
Is there a phone number for elites for COPA? If someone could PM me it would be appreciated.
I'm pretty sure I screwed up. Booked IAD-PTY-UIO by phone because it was a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the web site (which has a $340 fuel surcharge). I ended up with an L fare IAD-PTY. If that's an economy promo fare I won't get EQMs. I called a couple times to verify and try to change to a higher fare and the CSRs had no idea what I was talking about.
I'll wait until I get OP Plat status to call.
TIA

I've never seen one. There is just the regular CM call center.
Since you booked over the phone you should receive 50% EQMs on that fare, assuming you credit to your OnePass account.

Thanks, sbm12. I was afraid that was the case.
Their web site has this page:
http://www.copaair.com/sites/cc/en/N...-Families.aspx
which just says 100% if reserved and booked on copaair.com.
Not the end of the world, and still a better itin than a 6 hour layover in MIA on AA.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9630/5.0.0.591 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)
Look at the co.com version of partner earning (sorry...on BB now so cannot get the link easily; OnePass, Earn, Partners). You get 50% EQMs on L fares unless booked at copaair.com. CO got rid of that rule for their own metal but it still exists for Copa apparently.
You also only get 100% RDMs as a platinum (versus 200% booked online) I believe.
And I agree that just about anything is better than a 6 hour layover in MIA. Actually connecting in PTY is really nice. It is a very easy terminal.

When you call the 1-800 number for Copa, one of the questions on the phone menu is basically
"Are you an Elite member of One Pass? Upon selecting that option, you will be transferred to their Elite desk after they have verified your status based on your OP number. They can then handle anything within their rules. You will have the option of English or Spanish.

That's great news, Ecuacoflyer, thanks. I had a hard time understanding some of the messages but I'll listen for something like that.
Now I'll patiently wait for CO to update my status.
