It appears that UA has been a little quicker to update status.... usually within a week. Many have reported that CO takes 7-10 business days to update your status.

It took three days for my new UA status to be shown on website. Two weeks later, I received my new card from UA.

Silly. I just tried to merge my accounts on https://www.continental.com/web/en-U...ms/signIn.aspx and I got always the mentioned error code SM502. I tried it again on united.com/combinemyactivity and it worked.

This worked fine for me. I made sure that my name was exactly the same. I don't think I used all caps, but it worked anyway.
