Another Upgrade Thread
Last week in SNA there were 6 Pax called to the desk during the boarding process to receive their upgrade, to say the least it was a mad rush.
I am flying out of PHL tomorrow on 1677 and with 12 seats open, no upgrade. Either they have changed the policy and are waiting for buyups or something is broken.
I understand they need to make more money but they need to do a better job of processing upgrades prior to boarding.

i've been reading these threads, expecting to have to wait for the battlefield upgrade for my DCA >>> IAH flight y'day, with 7 open up to T - 24 on a 738. i was upgraded right at OLCI at that time, with the remaining seats being taken. the upgrade waitlist was only 10 deep at its peak.
i'll see what it's like on my friday flight home on a 737 currently with 9 open but seemingly a totally full Y cabin. i'm on an H fare so we'll see if that makes a difference..

PHL-IAH is very tough (almost impossible with cheap fares) on Thursday evening/afternoon; friday afternoon/evening).

Is LAX-IAH usually a difficult upgrade? I'm having horrible luck as a UA 1K. Seems like it shouldn't be so tough.

Why create "Another Upgrade Thread" instead of posting in the existing ones?
