Would this be one segment or two?

I am fly NYC - PIT every week and i usually do a direct flight EWR to PIT but i am shooting for 120 segments this year and have been doing connections as long as the ticket price is about the same. Would the below flight count as one or two segments?

That is a direct flight, so, as MileHighGuy stated, that's one segment.

Direct: bad (unless on RTW ticket)
Nonstop: good

What's unusual about UA is that their direct flights often do not require changing aircraft. IIRC UA started giving credit for each actual flown segment when crediting UA flights to UA, but do not trust me on that.
